GENERAL GUIDELINES ON EXAMINATIONS AND GRADING SYSTEM

Examinations

 1.Four (4) periodical examinations (Preliminary Exams, Mid-Term Exams, Semi-Final Exams and Final Exams) are given each semester and three (3) examinations (Preliminary Exams, Mid-term Exams and Final Exams) are given during the Summer term. The schedule of examination is issued by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Office and is posted on the bulletin board for all the students to see.
 2. All students must secure admission number at the Treasurer's Office upon payment of required fees.
 3.Students must wear their complete uniforms with ID cards to be allowed to take the examinations.
 4.Test questions and other necessary papers shall be distributed to the students inside the examination rooms.
 5.During these examinations rules should be strictly followed:
a. A student may not leave his assigned place without the permission of the instructor or proctor. Any student who violates this rule will not be allowed to take the examination.
b. Talking, possession of textbooks or notes of any kind (unless authorized), giving or receiving information or any other attempts at communication and any form of cheating shall be punished with a score of zero (0) .
 6.Instructors are not obliged to give a special or late exam except upon a written request approved by the Dean of the particular college concerned.
 7.Instructors are given the right to exempt deserving students from the Final Examinations provided that these students have a Midterm grade of at least 1.5, have Final Exam permits, and that such exemptions are not contrary to departmental policies. However, the instructor is under no obligation to grant such exemptions.
